The Best Spring Break Ever at Great Wolf Lodge Poconos!
By: A Kid Who Totally Loves Water Slides
This Spring Break was AWESOME because we went to Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos! It’s a super cool indoor water park and hotel that’s perfect for families. If you’re looking for kid-friendly water parks near NYC or Philadelphia, Great Wolf Lodge Poconos is the place to go.
We hadn’t been in like two years, so everything felt new again—especially the newly expanded water park with even more slides and splash zones. I couldn’t wait to jump in!
What’s Included in the Ultimate Food & Fun Pass?
Mom and Dad got us the Ultimate Food & Fun Pass, and it was totally worth it! Here’s what came with it:
- Refillable soda sippers – I got to fill mine up like 100 times (okay, maybe 20…) and you get to keep the cup as a souvenir.
- MagiQuest – If you haven’t played MagiQuest yet, it’s like a real-life video game where you use a wand to battle dragons and go on quests around the hotel.
- Unlimited bowling, mini golf, and the mirror maze – We bowled a bunch, and I even beat my brother once! Mini golf was fun, and the mirror maze made us laugh a LOT when we kept running into glass.

Water Park Favorites
The water park is MASSIVE and has something for every kid (and grown-up too). My favorite part was playing pool basketball with a bunch of other kids.
My brother Carter couldn’t get enough of Coyote Canyon—it’s a water slide that shoots you out right into Crooked Creek, which is their lazy river. He went on it like 10 times in a row!
And don’t miss the big splash moment:
At the top of Fort Mackenzie, there’s this GIANT bucket that slowly fills with water. When it tips over, it DRENCHES the whole front of the water park. It’s super cool and makes an epic photo or video for your family vacation reel.

Pro Tips from a Kid
- Bring flip-flops or water shoes because the floors get slippery.
- If you’re playing MagiQuest, start early! There’s a lot to explore.
- Go early to the water park to beat the lines—Coyote Canyon and Alberta Falls get super popular.
- Don’t miss the arcade—there are claw machines, racing games, and you can win tickets for prizes!
Final Thoughts
Great Wolf Lodge Poconos is the best indoor water park for kids, especially if you love slides, magic games, and family fun all in one place. I hope we get to go again next year (or maybe even sooner!).
HAVE A GREAT WOLF DAY!
