Tee Time + Target Practice at Chelsea Piers Driving Range! ⛳

With golf camp coming up, Mom and Dad thought it’d be fun to hit the range — and by “hit,” we mostly mean aiming at the ball-collecting cart. We spent the afternoon at the awesome Chelsea Piers Driving Range in New York City, and now we officially want to be golfers. Or at least driving-range pros!

High-Tech Tees and City Views 🗽⛳

First of all, the automatic tee-up system is next-level cool. No bending down, no reloading — just swing, and the next ball pops right up like magic. Perfect for kids (and adults) who want to get into a rhythm fast.

The range also has multiple levels to hit from, which is SO cool. We were on the ground floor this time, but we already asked to come back and try the upper levels next time — because who doesn’t want to drive a ball off a higher platform into the sky?

Dad = Serious Golfer. Us = Cart Chasers 🏌️‍♂️🚙

While Dad was working on his form and focusing on “technique,” we were focused on a much more important target: the golf ball pickup cart that drives around the range collecting balls. Every time it cruised by, we paused, lined up, and tried to hit it. (We *might* have gotten close once!)

Let’s just say… if hitting the cart was a real sport, we’d already be champions.

Final Thoughts: A Golf Day Win for the Whole Family

Chelsea Piers Driving Range is a great place for families — whether you’re just getting started or practicing for camp. The setup is easy, the staff is super nice, and it’s in the middle of the city but somehow feels like a mini escape.
