Pasta, Lava Cake, and a Night on Main Street: Buona Vita Park City

By: Two Hungry Skiers Who Love Garlic Bread

You know a restaurant is REALLY good when you eat there twice in one trip — and that’s exactly what happened with Buona Vita in Breckenridge. After a full day of skiing, nothing beats fresh pasta, warm garlic bread, and gooey chocolate lava cake — so we begged Mom and Dad to take us back the next night. And guess what? They did!

Why Buona Vita = Italian Food Heaven 🍝

As soon as we sat down, we could smell the garlic bread — fresh out of the oven, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. We could’ve eaten just that, but we’re glad we saved room for more.

  • Charlie had the homemade pasta with meatballs the first night, then switched to butter noodles the second time (he’s got range!).
  • I (Carter) stuck with butter pasta both nights, because when you find a favorite, you stick with it.

The noodles were homemade and perfect, and we both cleaned our plates like pros.

Chocolate Lava Cake = YES PLEASE 🍫

Okay, we have to talk about dessert: the chocolate lava cake. It came out warm, melty, and topped with whipped cream. It was so good we didn’t even fight over who got the last bite (well, almost).

After skiing all day, Buona Vita is the best place for a cozy, kid-approved Italian dinner in Park City. The servers were nice, the food came fast, and the whole restaurant felt warm and welcoming — especially when it was freezing outside!

Main Street Walk and Hotel Snooze

After dinner, we walked along Main Street Park City, checking out shops and holiday lights. It was super chill and a nice way to wind down after skiing and stuffing our faces with pasta.

Then we caught an Uber back to our hotel (Charlie may have fallen asleep in the back seat) and got ready to do it all again the next day.

Final Thoughts: Buona Vita = So Nice We Went Twice

If you’re heading to Breckenridge and need a spot for dinner after a long ski day, Buona Vita is a must-try. The food is amazing, the vibe is great for families, and the lava cake might be the best dessert in town.

Pro tip: Save room for seconds… or at least dessert. 😉
