Pizza, Arcades, and Epic Onion Rings at Downstairs at Eric’s!
By: A Kid Who Came for the Pizza and Stayed for the Games
After a long, snowy day at ski school in Breckenridge, we were starving. So we headed into town to a place we heard was perfect for kids — Downstairs at Eric’s. Let me just say this: pizza + arcade = the BEST night ever!
Arcade First, Pizza Later
When we walked down the stairs into the restaurant, our jaws dropped — there was a huge arcade with flashing lights, sound effects, and tons of games. We were pumped!
There was a bit of a wait for a table, but we didn’t even mind because it gave us more time to play games like Big Buck Hunter, racing games, and claw machines. Carter almost won a prize on his third try (he says the claw was rigged, though 😆).
If you’re looking for a kid-friendly restaurant in Breckenridge with built-in entertainment, Eric’s is where it’s at!
The Pizza That Almost Didn’t Fit on the Table
Once we sat down, the menu had a surprise — a pizza called the “Gigantor”. It’s 24 inches wide and they don’t even offer it to-go because it won’t fit in a box! 😲
We were hungry, but not THAT hungry, so we went with a 16” large pizza, which was still huge and super cheesy and delicious. Perfect after a day of skiing and gaming.
Mom’s Favorite: The Onion Rings
Mom ordered the onion rings as a side and she said — and I quote — “These might be the best onion rings I’ve ever had.” That’s a big deal coming from her!
They were crispy, golden, and gone in about two minutes. I snagged one when she wasn’t looking. Totally worth it.
Final Thoughts: Downstairs at Eric’s is a Must-Visit!
If you’re in Breckenridge with kids (or even without!), Downstairs at Eric’s is a total win. It’s the perfect combo of fun, food, and family vibes. Just make sure to get there early — it gets busy fast!
We’ll be back for the Gigantor next time. Maybe. 😉
