Last Run & Sweet Treats at Robbie’s Tavern – Our Final Day in Breckenridge
By: A Kid Who Crushed the Slopes and the Sundae
Our last day in Breckenridge was epic. We were determined to make the most of every second on the mountain, so we raced to catch one more chairlift before the day ended — and YES, we made it on at 3:59 PM, just before it closed at 4:00. That’s what you call perfect ski timing!
Last Lift, Best Run!
We wanted that final swoosh down the slope before saying goodbye to the mountain. The snow was soft, the sun was going down, and it felt like the perfect way to end our trip. Carter even yelled “LAST RUN ENERGY!” all the way down!
Après Ski at Robbie’s Tavern – One of the Only Spots Open After 4:00!
After we clicked out of our skis, Mom and Dad were like, “Let’s stay slopeside,” so we walked (okay, kind of limped) over to Robbie’s Tavern at the base of Peak 8.
It turns out, Robbie’s is one of the only restaurants still serving food after 4:00 PM at the base, so we totally scored a table. It was warm and cozy inside, with ski videos playing on the screens and tons of people still wearing their gear.
Kid-Approved Eats (and the BEST Dessert)
- Carter ordered his favorite: butter noodles. Simple, buttery, and delicious — and he finished the whole plate.
- I (Charlie) got chicken fingers with fries. Crunchy, tasty, and gone in like five minutes.
Then came the grand finale: a giant brownie sundae with whipped cream, hot fudge, and a cherry on top. It was so good we didn’t even argue about who got the last bite (okay… maybe a little).
Final Thoughts: A Sweet Ending to a Snowy Adventure
Robbie’s Tavern was the perfect family-friendly après ski spot in Breckenridge. The food came out fast, it tasted awesome, and it was one of the few places still open late on the mountain. Total win!
If you have had a long day at Ski School, definitely plan a stop at Robbie’s Tavern for post-ski food and maybe that epic sundae. It was the best way to end our trip.
See you next season, Breck!
