Epic Slides, Lazy Rivers & Laugh-Out-Loud Wipeouts at Kalahari Waterpark! 🌊🎮🏄♂️

When we found out we were headed to Kalahari Resorts, we were SO pumped! An indoor waterpark with massive slides, one of the longest lazy rivers ever, and a ton of arcade games? Count us in! We even looked up the rides before arriving so we could hit the ground… or water… running!
Slide Time! From Races to Screams 🏁🎢
🟡 Cheetah Race
Our first ride of the day was the Cheetah Race — a family-friendly 4-lane racer that’s all about speed and splash. Dad won the first round, but after we learned how to push off the start block like pros, things got competitive fast!
🌀 Kenya Korkscrew & Rippling Rhino
Next up were two of our favorites: Kenya Korkscrew and Rippling Rhino. One’s twisty and fast, the other’s perfect for doubles. So fun, we rode them more than once!
💦 Lazy River Break
After all that action, we floated around the lazy river, which is seriously one of the longest we’ve ever seen. It winds through the park and is the perfect way to catch your breath — and spot your next ride!
🚫 Sahara Sidewinders (Nope!)
While floating, Mom and Dad spotted their next ride: the Sahara Sidewinders. Just watching made our stomachs flip — it’s a near-vertical drop slide with a loop! Definitely a “no thanks” from us, but Mom and Dad loved it (and screamed a LOT).
Wave Pools, Wipeouts & Mom’s Poolside Drink 🏄♂️🌊🍹
We chilled in the wave pool while Dad tried out the FlowRider surf simulator. You have to sign up in advance because spots fill up quickly — and it’s easy to see why. At first, Dad totally wiped out (Mom was laughing *a lot* from her seat at the nearby bar 😄), but he eventually got the hang of it!
Arcade, Laser Tag & an Escape Room Challenge 🎮🔫🧠
After hours of splashing, we dried off and headed to the arcade zone. It’s huge! We played all kinds of games, teamed up for laser tag, and gave our best effort in the Escape Room. (We didn’t escape… this time… but we had a total blast trying!)
Final Thoughts: A Nonstop Day of Indoor Fun!
From thrilling waterslides and relaxing rivers to surf wipeouts and high-score battles, Kalahari is the ultimate indoor family adventure. It’s like a mini vacation packed into one epic day — and we’re already planning our return trip.
Next time: more races, fewer wipeouts, and maybe… just maybe… the Sahara Sidewinders?
