From Tron Launches to Pluto High-Fives: Our Day at Magic Kingdom! ๐Ÿฐ๐ŸŽข๐Ÿฟ

By: Two Disney Adventurers with a Popcorn Problem

As soon as we walked through the gates of Magic Kingdom and saw Cinderellaโ€™s Castle, the excitement went through the roof! We had our eyes peeled for Mickey and Minnie, but since we got there early, we think they were still snoozing. No worries โ€” we had big plans, big thrills, and even bigger popcorn refills ahead!

Starting Strong: Mountains, Mines & Popcorn Buckets ๐ŸŽข๐Ÿ’Ž๐Ÿฟ

First stop: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The wildest ride in the wilderness lived up to its name โ€” fast, twisty, and full of โ€œYEEHAWS.โ€

Next, we hit the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, where we went from gold rush to gem hunt. We tried to catch a jewel, but no luck (maybe next time with longer arms!).

After two epic rides, it was snack time โ€” aka, Popcorn Bucket Mission. We bought one of Disneyโ€™s refillable popcorn buckets and ended up refilling it 10 times that day. No regrets. ๐Ÿฟ

Tron Lightcycle Run: Launch Mode Activated ๐Ÿ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ

Time to ride the newest thrill at Magic Kingdom: Tron Lightcycle Run. Since Charlie sat this one out (parent swap to the rescue!), Carter and Dad took the front row. You sit on a motorcycle, and the ride shoots you like a rocket out of the tunnel. From the outside, it looks short โ€” but surprise! Thereโ€™s a hidden indoor section with twists and lights that made it even more epic.

Tip: You can test the seats before riding, and yes โ€” they *are* intense!

Space Mountain = Screams in the Dark ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ›ธ

Next up, the legendary Space Mountain. Weโ€™d seen this on a Disney+ special, so we were pumped to finally ride it. Mom and Carter got front row, Dad and Charlie were right behindโ€ฆ and Mom didnโ€™t stop screaming the entire time. (We think she loved it, though. Maybe.)

Lunch, Parades & Pluto Perks ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฅณ

Even after popcorn bucket #6, it was time for a quick lunch โ€” chicken nuggets and fries โ€” before heading to the parade. We got amazing front-row seats, and Charlieโ€™s Pluto hat got him a special high-five from the real Pluto. Highlight moment for sure!

Slower Rides for the Win (Except One Ghostly One!) ๐ŸŽ ๐Ÿ‘ป

After all the thrills, Charlie voted for chill. We explored some gentler rides:

  • โœจ Peter Panโ€™s Flight โ€” flying through Neverland never gets old
  • ๐Ÿฏ The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh โ€” bouncing with Tigger is always fun
  • ๐Ÿ˜‚ Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor โ€” funny, interactive, and great for a cool-down

But then we made the mistake of riding Haunted Mansion. Letโ€™s just sayโ€ฆ we werenโ€™t ready for the spooky vibes. Mom and Dad said we needed a spare pair of underwear โ€” and weโ€™re not arguing with them. ๐Ÿ‘ป

Thanksgiving Dinner & Fireworks Finale ๐Ÿฆƒ๐ŸŽ†

Dinner was at Liberty Tree Tavern, and it was basically a full-on Thanksgiving feast โ€” turkey, stuffing, and unlimited mashed potatoes. SO. GOOD.

We ended the day where we started โ€” at Cinderellaโ€™s Castle โ€” for the nightly fireworks show. It was longer and even more magical than the one at EPCOT. We were right in front of the castle, so we could see the projections clearly. Mom and Dad tried to convince us Tinkerbell really flew over the crowd, but we totally saw the wire. Nice try, parents.

Final Thoughts: Magic Kingdom = A Full-Day Disney Dream

With thrilling coasters, iconic characters, nonstop snacks, and an unforgettable fireworks finale, Magic Kingdom was a full-on, all-day adventure. And donโ€™t worry โ€” we definitely made the most of that popcorn bucket.

Next time: more mashed potatoes, fewer ghosts, and at least 12 refills. Deal?
