Waves, Waterslides & Waffle Cones: Our Splash Day at Typhoon Lagoon! πŸŒŠπŸ¦β˜€οΈ

By: Two Soaked (and Super Happy) Theme Park Survivors

After walking what felt like *100 miles* around the Disney theme parks, we were more than ready for a break β€” and what better way to cool off than with a full day at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon?! From massive waves to tropical vibes and icy treats, this water park was everything we needed and more.

Welcome to Paradise (with Giant Waves) 🌴🌊

As soon as we walked in, Typhoon Lagoon looked like a tropical island β€” palm trees, shipwreck theming, and a giant mountain in the middle of it all. The best part? The wave pool!

We’ve been to wave pools before… but nothing like this. The Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool creates massive 6-foot waves that crash so loud you can hear them across the park. It’s like ocean surfing without the saltwater (or sand in your swimsuit).

Lazy River = Chill Tour Guide πŸ›Ÿ

From the wave pool, it’s a little hard to see where the waterslides are β€” but hopping in the Castaway Creek lazy river was the perfect way to float around and spot everything.

It was relaxing, shady in some spots, and gave us a good game plan for which slides to hit next. Pro tip: ride the full loop and you’ll see the entire park!

Slide Stars: Miss Adventure Falls & Crush β€˜n’ Gusher πŸ’¦πŸŽ’

Miss Adventure Falls was a fun family raft ride with twists, turns, and some cool theming β€” including a parrot and treasure chest. But the real MVP? Crush β€˜n’ Gusher!

This water coaster has three different tube slide options:

  • 🍍 Pineapple Plunger
  • πŸ₯₯ Coconut Crusher
  • 🍌 Banana Blaster

Each one was fast, splashy, and awesome β€” and you can’t go wrong no matter which fruit you pick!

Cool Down with the Good Stuff: Happy Landings Ice Cream 🍨

Even with all the water, it was still a hot Florida day β€” which meant it was time for an ice cream break. Our pick? Happy Landings Ice Cream. Huge waffle cones, soft serve swirls, and the perfect spot to chill before heading back into the splash zone.

Final Thoughts: Typhoon Lagoon is a Total Splash Hit

If you’re looking for the perfect break from the parks β€” with just as much fun but way more float time β€” Typhoon Lagoon is a must. From monster waves to waterslide races and sweet treats, it checked every box on our β€œvacation fun” list.

Next time: we’re starting with Banana Blaster and ending with two scoops. Deal?
