Roller Coaster Views & Stair-Climbing Struggles at Hotel Breakers 🎢🏨

We stayed at Hotel Breakers during our Cedar Point trip, and while it had some awesome perks (like roller coaster views from our window!), it also came with a few surprises… and a LOT of stairs. Here’s what we loved, what we learned, and why we’ll always remember this stay.
Epic View, Early Entry… Kind Of 🎢🌅
Waking up and seeing giant roller coasters right outside your hotel window is one of the coolest parts of staying at Hotel Breakers. You’re so close, it feels like the park is part of the hotel!
We were excited for the early entry at 9 AM — but heads-up: not all rides open early. Only a few are running before 10 AM, when the park opens to everyone. So while it’s a nice perk, it’s not a total game-changer.
What is great? The super short walk to the park gate. We were inside Cedar Point in under 2 minutes. No parking shuttles, no chaos — just straight to the thrills.
One Elevator… and a LOT of Stairs 😅
Here’s the not-so-awesome part: only one elevator was working during our stay, which became a running joke (and a real workout). We were on the sixth floor, so we ended up walking up and down the stairs… A LOT.
And after a full day of walking around Cedar Point — which was easily 10+ miles — our legs were toast. We officially vote for stair-free vacations next time!
Food Wins & Lessons Learned 🍕🥞
We got in late on the first night, so we went with the classic hotel move: pizza delivery to the room. It hit the spot, and we didn’t even have to leave the room — win!
The next morning, we had breakfast at Perkins inside the Hotel Breakers lobby. The food was good, but the service was slowwww. By day two, we learned our lesson and grabbed food from the Perkins takeout counter instead. Much faster — and way more time to make it to rope drop!
Final Thoughts: Worth It for the Coaster Proximity
Hotel Breakers is super convenient for families heading to Cedar Point. You can walk to the park in minutes, wake up with views of Top Thrill 2, and even sneak back for a break if the lines get long.
Just be prepared for a possible elevator adventure… and maybe pack an extra snack while waiting on breakfast.
Roller coasters = 10/10. Broken elevator = 0/10. Our stay? Somewhere right in between!
