Leveling Up at Breckenridge Ski School – We Earned Our Poles!
By: Two Slope-Shredding Ski School Grads 🎿
Our family ski trip to Breckenridge, Colorado was amazing, and two of the coolest days were when we got to go to ski school! Yep, Mom and Dad signed us up so we could get even better at skiing — and we were SO ready to hit the slopes (and maybe sneak in a snowball fight or two 😉).
What Ski School Was Like
We were in different groups because of our ages, but we both had awesome instructors and made new friends super fast. Everyone was nice, and we learned a ton while having fun — not boring school stuff, like real skiing skills!
We started out on the green runs but by the end of the lessons we were cruising down blue runs like pros.
Family Ski Time = Show-Off Time
Ski school ended each day at 3:00 PM, but the lifts don’t close until 4:00. So for that last hour, we got to ski with Mom and Dad. They wanted to see what we’d learned… but we just wanted to gun it down the mountain as fast as we could!
We showed off some of our turns and stops (okay, we might’ve wiped out once or twice), but it felt awesome to ski together as a family after a full day of learning.
Graduation Goals: Level 5 and… POLES!
Our big goal during ski school? Finish at Level 5 so we could finally get poles. And guess what? We did it! That means next time we hit the slopes, we’ll have ski poles in our hands — and we promised Dad we won’t use them as lightsabers (even though it’s really tempting 😅).
If you’re heading to Breck, ski school is totally worth it. You’ll get better fast, make friends, and maybe even move up a level (plus, there’s hot chocolate breaks!).
Final Thoughts: Breck Ski School = Best Way to Learn and Have Fun
Breckenridge ski school for kids is awesome. The instructors are fun, the mountains are beautiful, and you learn a lot without it feeling like school at all. Whether you’re just starting out or leveling up, this is the best way to learn how to ski.
Next stop: Black Diamonds… (just kidding… maybe!)
