Baseball, Foul Balls & Mascots: Our Ultimate Day with the Brooklyn Cyclones! ⚾🍦🎉
By: Two Baseball Fans Who Checked Off Every Box
As much as we love The Mets, there’s something extra awesome about a day at a Brooklyn Cyclones game. It’s smaller, closer to the action, and packed with cool stuff for kids. We did basically everything you could possibly do at a game — and then some!
Our Game Day Bucket List: COMPLETE ✅
- Pre-game catch on the field: Nothing cooler than tossing the ball on real turf before the first pitch!
- Free souvenirs and ice cream: Yes, please. We scored mini bats AND soft serve.
- Catch a foul ball: Carter made the grab of the game — and didn’t even spill his ice cream.
- Player autographs: We got our caps signed and felt like total MVPs.
- Meet the mascot: Shoutout to Sandy the Seagull for the high-five and selfie.
- Run the bases after the game: The perfect way to burn off those stadium snacks!
Seriously… what didn’t we do?!
Why the Cyclones Are the GOAT for Families ⚾👨👩👧👦
One of the best things about a minor league baseball game like the Cyclones is how interactive and fun it is. You’re right near the action, and between innings there are contests, games, and all kinds of silly fun happening on the field.
We never had a dull moment — even when the players were warming up, there was something fun going on. And it’s way easier to get autographs and foul balls than at a big league game!
Final Thoughts: Bring Your Glove & Your Energy
Brooklyn Cyclones games are a must for families in NYC. Whether you’re a huge baseball fan or just want a fun day out, this place has it all — plus awesome views of Coney Island right behind the stadium.
Pro tip: Get there early, wear your team gear, and bring a glove — you never know when that foul ball is coming your way!
